“When you get the shivers watching this wintry tale unfold, it won’t be from the cold.” –Janet Maslin, The New York Times
Based on Scott B. Smith’s novel, this gripping thriller centers around two brothers, Hank (Bill Paxton) and Jacob Mitchell (Billy Bob Thornton), and their friend Lou (Brent Briscoe), who discover a crashed plane containing over $4 million in cash. Their simple plan unravels as they conspire to keep the money, leading to paranoia, betrayal, and a descent into violence and moral corruption. A Simple Plan explores the dark side of human nature and the devastating consequences of greed.
